Outbound Pusdiklat Keuangan Umum 2011

Last February, our training center had an outbound program in Taman Hutan Rakyat Dago Pakar, Bandung. The program was particularly effective to build our interpersonal relationships, trust and bonding, communication of shared vision and goals, motivation, behaviour modification in response to change, and personal effectiveness. That’s not because of the facilitators from BANDIT team, but just because our employees have already got a solid teamwork spirit from the beginning.

By the way, there are just so many advantages of outbound activities. Outbound trainings can enhance:

1. TEAMBUILDING/TEAMWORK
We can make successful teams while focusing on problem-solving, communication, trust-building, change and conflict resolution.

2. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
We can identify and develop traits that can be successfully employed in situations such as thinking of strategy, goal setting, planning, resource allocation, empowerment, and decision-making.

3. CONFLICT RESOLUTION
We can improve interpersonal skills, remove communication blocks, build abilities to express and resolve differences in an unstressed manner.

Viva PusdiklatKU!

4. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EFFECTIVENESS
We can improve self image through emphasis on personal and group achievements, encouragement to stretch beyond perceived limits, and gain a renewed sense of purpose and commitment.

5. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
We can develop abilities to relate meaningfully and with confidence in group and individual situations, as well as working towards enhancing group dynamics.

6. COMMUNICATION SKILLS
We build effective communication skills that enables enhanced performance and productivity.

7. INDUCTION/ORIENTATION FOR TRAINEES
Some of us are trainers, widyaiswara. The program really reduces lead time in creating productive, effective employees and enables faster integration of pusdiklat culture, values, and expectations.

8. PARTNERSHIPS/ALLIANCES
We can create more effective partner relationships through shared experiences and goals and trust-building.

As I am a team building trainer, I’ve got so many insights from the outbound activities. I will apply some of the BANDIT’s strategies into my teaching…^_^

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.[
